It is a query of my friend. He want to know whether a member of ICAI, holding Part time of COP in a proprietory firm and handling accounting & income tax assignments, can fill the MEF of PDC of ICAI. According to my view this form is only for empanelment in govt. audit and a part time cop holder can not perform audit function. Therefore a part time cop holder can not fil this MEF form of ICAI.
I want to know whether my view is correct or any further comment is required. |

Yes , Your view is currect. A Part Time COP holder cann't perform any attestation work.

As far as i observed ICAI tax suit software works on all the windows operating systems and for smooth working system should be upgraded with minimum space in C: drive of 1 GB & RAM should be or more than 512 MB.

Can anyone please clarify regarding the eligibility criteria of firms for MEF, the issue is the firm has two partners praciticing as sole practitioners wheter this firm is eligible to apply for empanelment ? please advice |
