Respectable Experts

We are going to buy a property of Rs. 80 lac and want to pay Rs. 7920,000 by cheque after deducting TDS of Rs. 1%.  Please tell me its compulsory to show in Registry (Purchase Deed) about TDS deducted.

It is not compulsory to show in the registry.

The Income Tax Dept. is concerned with TDS formalities.

The sale deed draft depends on the understanding betweem the buyer and seller.

The banker may require the details of TDS in case the buyer goes for a home loan.
