Delhi High Court today dismissed petition seeking relaxation in withdrawal limit of Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand for marriages and reserved its verdict on the plea saying that government has provided relaxation wherever necessary on demonetisation issue.
The plea had said, the cap of 2.5 lakh rupees for marriages should be relaxed as there were various customary donations which one provides during the wedding ceremony.
The Supreme Court is also hearing a batch of petitions against demonetisation. It is hearing the Centre's plea seeking transfer of all petitions pending before various courts in the country to either the apex court or one high court. The apex court will hear the petitions on Friday. #casansaar (PTI)
