If we purchase 2 assets sau music system & machinery, on music sytem VAT credit is not allowed but on machinery it is allowed. My issue whether in sales return we will show purchases of both music system & Machinery or only machinery. return is to be filed with haryana & Delhi. |

Dear Raman, as you said on music system the vat is not allowed therefore you have debited the same inclusive of VAT amount so there is no question of showing the same in your sales tax return.....
In short you require only Machinery to show in the Sales retrun and not both.
Hope you got the answer you were looking for, have a nice day......

Dear Raman,
Please note that the details of purchases and the eligibility of input tax credit on the said purchases are two different things. In the VAT return to be filed in the state of Delhi and Haryana, you have to give the details of all the purchases whether or not you are eligible to take the credit on the same. However, under the input tax credit details to be given in the return, you should give only those purchases on which you are eligible to claim input tax credit.
In other words, you have to show both the purchases i.e.both music system & Machinery.
Hope the above suffice.

Dear Raman,
You can see the VAT return to be filed in the respective states and your doubts will be clear i.e. you have to give the details of both.

The provision of vat varies from state to state. So it is advisable to refer relevant sale tax return.
