Maintaining a good lifestyle to achieve your aims
-By CA Vijeta Verma
“Health is wealth”.A very old saying but accepted unanimously by everyone.Definitely,it is very true that everyone wants to achieve name, fame & a very reputed status in life for which one has to do a lot of struggle also.No matter how much one is blessed with family’s resources ,ultimate success always depends upon one’s own efforts & willpower only.An important question is what will be the benefit of amassing wealth when a considerable part is to be spent on medical & insurance expenses later on?Answer can be even more simple and that is “The Age factor”i.e. as we grow our immune system weakens and thus we are more prone to health related diseases.Even now a days people in 20s are going through angioplasty, kidney & liver transplants. The increasing level of stress & anxiety is also creating a lot of scope for budding psychiatrists, neurologists & also for insurance companies ,as the person with much stress & anxiety & sedentary lifestyle himself/herself reduces his/her life span to a large extent.
Nobody can be perfectly free from stress & anxiety ,not even a school child. But if we know well that something is going to cost us a lot in long term & still continuing the same way, can never provide a good solution.Rather, choosing to slow down a bit & live a life with understanding of life is a better option. It may be possible that the target you have set for yourself may get preponed or post poned with some additions in your daily routine but in long run ,it will provide a fruitful result without hampering your growth that could have otherwise be hampered by neglecting the requirement of a good life style.
Nature has always been a great source of healing at zero cost. There are ample of health benefits we can take from nature through morning/evening walks, yoga, meditation, sun salutation/surya namaskaar etc which not only exercises the muscles but also in long run improves flexibility, blood circulation, respiration, improves tissue formation ,balance & strength.
Even replacing your regular tea/coffee with green tea /herbal tea/chamomile tea can help in improving immune system as these variants of tea are rich in antioxidants.Hunger and dehydration even before you are aware of them ,can provoke aggressiveness & increase the feelings of stress & anxiety at anytime. So ,it is very important to stay hydrated with pure water & eat small nutritious meals on time.
Electronic devices like cell phones & laptops have no doubt made our lives easy. But as it is said that every invention has both good & bad effects.Though it is next to impossible for any professional to imagine a life without these devices but it is scientifically proven that apart from various other reaons prolonged use of electronic devices adversely effects human aura. And once human aura is weakened ,the chances of attracting diseases are very severe. So,it is always better to make limited use of these devices.Specially ,keep yourself away from these devices when you are relaxing, doing exercises, meditaions or even studying.
By now, nearly everyone is aware of the dangers associated with the smoking & drinking.Hundreds of thousands of people die every year from smoking/drinking related causes. Those who remain alive have to suffer in long run ,as over time these habits damages tissues, interfere with lung’s functioning & interrupts with arteries functioning thereby causing numerous health issues.
Many a times, the root cause of our problems lies in our conditioned /negative thinking.Continously focusing on what you lack tends to exacerbate them & increase their importance in your life. Some school of thoughts even hold that you actually attract in your life only what you focus on-positive/negative.Instead of dwelling on upleasant thoughts & focusing on your loopholes ,keeping yourself positive & counting your blessing s can help you to stay centered & optimistic even when there are numerous challenges posed in front of you.
