Friends, the present times have been correctly called THE AGE OF VOEYURES. The advent of TV and Computers followed by SMART FONES , TABLETS and PHABLETS have turned our society totally eye focused. More than 80 percent of inputs is through our eyes only and the  constant   pressure of visual inputs has overburdened our brains and they are unable to cope with it .It has resulted in a large number of info bytes to shift from active memory to passive memory, and the subsequent inability to retrieve it in time. This has affected our ability to recall and forced us to be more dependent on external devices.

One of the most affected  community   by this trend is us students who are expected to remember and reproduce a disproportional large amount of info needed to become a professional like CA. What even an expert has to consult before answering a query is expected to be recalled from memory and reproduced in three hours However what is to be done will have to be done so I would concentrate on the main reason of writing this article.

It is a common phenomenon that students who are unable to clear an exam immediately start searching for some other BOOKS by some other Author to improve their performance. However reading another book will simply add to the info one already has and the problem of recalling it during the exams would remain unresolved. It has to be understood that WE ARE TAKING IN THE INFO BY READING WHILE WE SHALL   BE NEEDING THE INFO BY WRITING during exams. There is a major disconnect between the accessing of info by Reading and Writing. Once you start writing an exam the access path to info is entirely different from the path created by reading the Info. This is the major reason that we are unable to perform during a exam in spite of our bone breaking preparation .It seems as a curtain comes down  blocking many of things we know and what we know before exam becomes hazy and foreign to us as we start writing. Even we have problems as to how to start answering a question.

What we need a broad highway to the info stored in our Brains that is readily accessible by writing .If we are able to create such a highway that is active when we start writing,  Scoring Big in Exams can be a certainity  with the efforts we are putting in. The only way to do so is by Preparing NOTES by hand of ALL the SUBJECTS so that a new pathway is opened in Brain Circuits and as we have to WRITE our EXAMS it would kick in naturally when we start writing our exams. This coupled with a practice in Practical Papers can go a long way in breezing through an Exam. In fact we have to reach a stage where your  HANDS WILL REMEMBER THE ANSWERS.

I got the idea from looking at the EPISODE of Mahabharata  where  Arjuna  was shooting arrows in NIGHT. When Guru DRONA asked him how he could do so when he had not  teached  him?, he replied that he got the idea by a chance remark of BHIMA, his brother who once said on being asked how he can eat in pitch dark “Even if I cannot see my hands know where the mouth is”. Guru Drona  blesses  Arjuna and says You will go further than me. This analogy can be used in a way that if NOTES can be prepared by our own hands it can help in retrieving  info as soon as we start writing and it can be said that our HANDS can see and remember the answers.

I hope the importance of making NOTES by your own HANDS in your own unique way can spell difference between SUCCESS and FAILURE  in Exams .As I have always used this method and my collection of NOTES is substantial, I have started uploading  my NOTES on CPT and  IPCC subjects on my blog www.castudyarena.com.
