Bank Audit is round the Corner. Now BAll is inour Court. We all Chartered Accountants who are Bank Statutory Auditors should give more than 100% of our efforts in conducting Bank Audits so that RBi and other Revenue Authorities should be compeled to rethink over reducing the No of Bank Audits. |

Any authentic information regarding the minimum Advance limit of the branch concerned for compulsory branch audit of bank ?
Pl provide updates
Banks have started sending letters to continuing Auditors for confirmation of particulars of the Audit firms

RECENTLY THE COUNCIL OF THE INSTITUTE HAS CONSTITUTED A COMMITTE TO ASSESS THE NEED . EFFECTIVENESS AND IMPORTANCE OF AUDIT IN BANKS , ESPECIALLY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CURRENT SHIFT / EMPHASIS ON USAGE OF IN FORMATION TECHNOLOGY / CORE BANKING SOLUTIONS BY THE BANKS . THE REPORT FROM THE COMMITTE IS EXPECTED SHORTLY WHICH WILL BE SUBMITTED TO ALL CONCERNED TO LET THE STATUS QUO BE PREVAILED IN THE THERSHOLD LIMIT OF ADVANCES ABOVE WHICH BRANCHES OF PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE AUDITED . WE HAVE TAKEN UP THE MATTER WITH ALL THE STAKE HOLDERS INCLUDING THE HIGH AUTHORITIES AND WE HOPE FOR A POSITIVE OUTCOME SOON
