I would like to press upon an issue to be raised before the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on behalf of our profession and CA fraternity.
The Empanelment under CAG requires a FCA as an active partner in a firm or a proprietorship concern. There are situations where a firm has three to four ACAs who may be equally capable or even better in handling Audit assignments considering the team work, combined knowledge/ experience of all the partners and the team working under them.
We request your goodself to give your views / comments on the same and elevate the issue for more professional opportunities in this area to a firm of chartered accountants with three ACAs or more or any other reasonable conditions that may be implied thereon.
