I got the audit last in 2017 even after 4 year span i am not getting audit. So what is the meaning of colling period of 2 years? Is there any fresh allotment stated this year?

Institute is trying to say that our firm name is appearing in the panel list sent to RBI. However it is the public sector bank who has absolute right in selecting the firm for branch statutory audit

The RBI sends a panel to all Public Sectors Banks. The Public sector banks are having autonomy for the selection and allotment of Branch Auditors.

As suggested by CA KAILASH CHAND AGARWAL JI, there should not be any MEF further. Creating LOT of HOPE while applying for MEF and everything gone evaporated at the time of appointments(Branch). Therefore MEF should be withdrawn henceforth. Others Please suggest

As per information available to me, banks have submitted list of auditors to RBI (Continuing & Fresh) for approval. So if the news is correct no further scope this year. No of audit firms and no of vacancies are a huge gap.

I heard that Fresh allottments will not be made from this year due to reduction in audit of Number of Branches as instructed by RBI. SBI Itself stopped fresh allottment. We are Partnership firm in CATEGORY IV i got audit last in 2017, from there onwards I have not allotted any audit even 3 years(after cooling period of 2 Years). Can any one suggest in this regard

We all ca's should unite together and refugee bank audit assignments so that goverment understand our importance and stop neglecting us like we do not exist and are not at all important in the ecnomy of country. The fm and government will leave us helpless at last and icai precidents and other key leaders will never help is out.
