Ahead of the festive season, Maharashtra has received an advance instalment of Rs. 6,418 crore from the Central government as part of the tax devolution. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister mentioned that this funding will enable the state to speed up capital expenditure and ensure adequate support for welfare and development schemes. On Wednesday, the Centre announced that it had released an additional Rs.1,01,603 crore to all states, surpassing the usual monthly devolution of Rs.81,735 crore that was due on 10th October.
