Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi says, he will not resign unless given in writing by Mamata Banerjee. He said he has a Constitutional duty to pilot the Railway Budget he had presented in Parliament. He said, there will be a discussion on Monday and he has to answer the discussion on railway budget.
Trivedi was talking to reporters after the party's chief whip Kalyan Banerjee had a telephonic talk with him. Kalyan Banerjee told AIR Kokata Correspondent that as a parliamentary colleague he advised Trivedi to resign to ensure a honorable exit.
The party leader Sudip Bandyopadhay said there will be nothing in writing to Dinesh Trivedi.
Trinamool Congress Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banejee has re-iterated that she has written to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for replacement of Dinesh Trivedi as Rail Minister. Talking to newsmen in Kolkata on Saturday she said that in her letter to the Prime Minister she has proposed the name of Present Minister of state for Shipping Mukul Roy as the successor of Trivedi.
