India’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Rise to USD 693 Billion
India’s foreign exchange reserves recorded a significant increase of USD 4.368 billion, reaching USD 693.318 billion in the week ended December 19, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Friday.
In the preceding week, the country’s total reserves had registered a rise of USD 1.689 billion, standing at USD 688.949 billion.
During the week under review, foreign currency assets—the largest component of the reserves—rose by USD 1.641 billion to USD 559.428 billion, as per the central bank’s statement.
