GSTN Issues FAQs on Ship-to Field and E-Way Bill Closure

GSTN has issued a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to address doubts and queries related to the mandatory capture of the Ship-to field in E-Way Bills and the voluntary closure of E-Way Bills. The FAQs have been prepared after examining representations received from taxpayers, trade, GST Suvidha Providers and other stakeholders.

The advisory aims to provide clarity on applicable system validations, procedural requirements and compliance steps to be followed while generating or closing E-Way Bills. Stakeholders have been advised to refer to the FAQs for better understanding of the revised requirements and the correct procedure under the E-Way Bill system. (CASANSAAR)
