Haryana Leads Nation in SGST Growth with Remarkable 21.5% Surge in FY26
Haryana has emerged as the top-performing state in terms of growth in State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) collections for the financial year 2025–26, as per the latest data released by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
The state reported a post-settlement SGST collection of ₹48,289 crore during FY26, reflecting a strong year-on-year increase of 21.5% compared to ₹39,743 crore recorded in the previous financial year (FY25). This significant rise highlights the state’s improved tax compliance, economic activity, and effective revenue administration.
Notably, Haryana’s growth rate is substantially higher than the national average SGST growth of 5.7%, positioning the state as a leader in GST revenue performance across the country. The robust growth indicates a positive trend in consumption patterns and strengthened tax collection mechanisms within the state.
