What does an EMPLOYEE means under "payment of bonus act"? |

Every employee who is drawing a salary or wage upto Rs. 10000.00 per month (w.e.f. 1-4-2006) and who has worked for minimum period of 30 days in a year is entitled to be paid bonus. {Section 2(13) & 8}

AS PER PAYMENT OF BONUS ACT:-
“employee” means any person (other than an apprentice) employed on a salary or wage not exceeding 1[three thousand and five hundred rupees] per mensem in any industry to do any skilled or unskilled manual, supervisory, managerial, administrative, technical or clerical work for hire or reward, whether the terms of employment be express or implied;

W.E.F. 01.04.2006 the monitory limit has been increased to Rs. 10000/-
