Form 16 issued by the company without giving HRA exemption. Can a salaried assesee claim HRA exemption in his Income Tax Return without informing the company about HRA payment. |

| if in form 16 issued by company without giving HRA Exemption.then we can take Deduction under section 80GG for house rent paid.

| Yes, the employee can do that, but he needs to have sufficient evidence on being inquired by IT Department
