Signing and verification of return under section 144(9) for an individual being mentally incapacitated from attending his affairs by other person on his behalf even if his father is also availabe there will be allowed to sign his return or not please clarify about this doubt. |

| If that person is authorised, he can sign.

| mentally incapacity is not a restriction to sign the return of his or her. but if his parents or gardian is authorised to sign the return who transfer the source of income to that incapacitied person. that person can authrise anyone else to sign on his behalf.

| Agreed if the person is authorized then only they can sign.

| authorized person can sign the return on behalf of main assessee
