one of my client have a property which was let out to post office. rent of some years was not recoverd by the client. suit filled in the court by the client and the decision held that all the rent in arrear is to be recovered with interest to the client. my query is whether there is any case law which can make rental income and interest income exempt from income tax? |

| no there no case low which can make rental income from arears of rent . it will be taxable in which year it is recovered. |
