Dear Expert
I would like to have clarity on the definition of business entity and whether a Non profit Organization and a Non Government Organization is covered under business entity? |

| As per section 65B of service tax act, 1994 "business entity" means any person ordinarily carrying out any activity relating to industry, commerce or any other business;.
So if the non-profit/non-organization is not carrying out any commercial activity it would be out of the perviow. |
