An eye specialist has just started Practice & opened his clinic where he would do surgery also. Is he liable to get him registered under service tax law |

Yes,but condition if more than 10 lacs fee charge in FY.

I beg pardon to differ my opinion from Mr Mrattunjay. Pl see and refer Mega exemption notification as pointed out by CA. A.K. Bansal. Registration to service tax is required on receipts of Rs 9 lacs not Rs 10 lacs. |

No. He is not liable to service tax provided he offers
health care services and not cosmetic services. It should be run by an authorized medical practitioner.
