I have registered for ipcc examination may 2012. I had got exemption on accounts-1 with 60 marks. Now that i have claimed exemption on examination form, do i need to attend accounts-1 exam or not to make the exemption valid? will the exemption be automatically carried forward if i attend the rest 3 papers? please kindly reply me. |

You need not to attend the accounts examination, exemption is only on the basis of the marks.

No... you do not have to attend the accounts exam. in case u mark ur attendance there your exemption will stand withdrawn. In any case the Institute will remove ur roll no. from the exam sitting plan for the exempted parer on its own.

For availing Exemption need to demand exemption at the time of submitting the Examination form. if you not claiming exemption- you cannot get benefit for the same. Further after claiming exemption no need to appear in same paper at examination hall- as already informed to ICAI for claiming exemption. apart from that if candidate not claiming the exemption in next exam when appearing- candidate cannot claim the exemption in next examinations.

No need to attend the accounts again... Write only balance three papers and that 60 marks will automatically counted in marks when results are out...
