Please let us know that what you want to know specifically.
VAT is always levied as the same is within the powers of the state where as CST is levied by the centre as the power to levy CST is with the union government.
Please try to clarify your query.

| input vat tax credit can be set off against output CST liabilities but input CST can not be st off against output VAT liabilities.
