Income Tax Department Releases ITR-3 Offline Utility for AY 2026–27

The Income Tax Department has released the Offline Utility for ITR-3 for Assessment Year (AY) 2026–27 on the official e-Filing portal. Taxpayers eligible to file ITR-3 can now prepare and submit their income tax returns using the updated utility.

According to the latest update published on the Income Tax portal on 23 June 2026, the ITR-3 Offline Utility has been made available for filing. The utility is intended for individuals and Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs) having income from business or profession and falling under the ITR-3 return category.

The portal has also updated the Common Offline Utility (Version 1.2.0) for AY 2026–27, which supports filing of ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3, and ITR-4. The latest version of the utility was released on 23 June 2026.

Taxpayers opting for offline return preparation can download the utility from the Income Tax e-Filing portal and complete their return filing process in accordance with the applicable provisions for AY 2026–27.
