Income Tax Dept Raises ₹4,000+ Crore Under Black Money Act in FY26 (Till Dec)

During the financial year 2025–26, up to December 2025, the Income Tax Department has levied tax demands amounting to ₹4,009.64 crore on undisclosed foreign income and assets under the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015. In comparison, the total tax imposed under the same Act during the financial year 2024–25 stood at ₹4,556.64 crore, indicating continued enforcement action against offshore tax evasion.
