Notification No. 55/2026-Customs (N.T.) – Amendment in Tariff Values under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962

New Delhi, 15 June 2026

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs hereby amends Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) dated 03.08.2001.

The existing TABLE-1, TABLE-2 and TABLE-3 are substituted with the following:

Explanation

Silver in any form shall not include foreign currency coins, silver jewellery or articles made of silver.
"Gold findings" means small components such as hooks, clasps, clamps, pins, catches or screw backs used in jewellery.
