Is a CA(practicing)may a deemed director?

Practising CA cannot be a whole time director in a company. But he can be a non executive director as well as promoter of a company. He will be guilty of professional misconduct if he accepts appointment as WTD in a company.

30-Jan-2012 , 03:26:11 pmAs the Priyanka said A Practicing CA can not be a whole time director and can not work as a executive director, if he do so he will be professional misconduct, But the question, as per Irfan Ansari, is a Practicing CA be treated as deemed director? In accordance with whose direction or instruction , the Board of Directors of a company is accustomed to act shall be deemed to be the director of the company. However if the board of directors act on advice given by a person in his professional capacity (Practicing CA) he will not be considered as a deemed director of the company.
