Q. > Please Help: Excise duty input claim
If a co 'A'is doing retail business.It sells the same goods to another party 'B'along with the fresh invoice in its own 'A' name.Can 'B'claim input of excise duty?Pls let me know the relevent section

Dear Shalu Ji, As per rule 6A of Cenvat Credit Rules 2004, an assessee can avail the cenvat credit only if the dealer is first stage dealer (FSD) OR Second Stage dealer (SSD).
In the above concerned case 'B' can only claim the input credit of excise duty if and only if A is a fsd or ssd.
Fsd means (In very brief) who purchases the goods directly from manufacturer and ssd who purchases the goods from fsd.
