Q. > Please Help: Deduction u/s 80C
I have a member of Co-Op. Society who will construct house for us. I have paid Rs. 1Lcs as construction cost, houses is under construction, house is not allotted me till date, whether i am eligible u/s 80C

Dear Amit,
In the instant case, you are eligible to claim deduction u/s 80C for the amount paid as installment towards construction of house. [Please refer Section 80C(2)(XViii)(b)of the Income tax Act]
