Q. > Please Help: Tax on NRI deposit
One of my client returned to India on 1.4.12. He has NRI deposit. Bank manager told his there is no tax for his income from NRI deposit for next 2 years. please advice.

YES IT IS CORRECT , INTEREST ON NRI DEPOSIT IS FULLY EXEMPTED
