i am not file income tax return of last two A.Y. 2011-12 & 2012-13. can i get back my TDS as refund after filling the income tax return or not ??

TDS is Adjusted against the assessee's taxable Income..and is termed as refund if taxable income is nil..
Return of any P.Y can be filled before the expiry of 1 year from the end of relevent A.Y..
in your case
1. Return of A.Y 2011-12 can be filled upto 31 march 2013
2. Return of A.Y 2012-13 can be filled upto 31 march 2014.
So u can get back your TDS as a refund.

02-Jan-2013 , 10:15:17 pmSir, with the regards to AY 11-12, you can file a return and can claim refund, but there is also a chance of a penalty being initiated on you for non filing. As regards, AY 12-13 you can file the return till 31st March 13, without any such penalty. Roopak Future CA 9953144882
