It is mandatorty to file the "NIL" tds returns and service tax returns, if not file den wt is is penalty and prosecutation

if you have no tax deduction liability then why you flie a return.

For service tax i m sure that it is mandatory to file NIL service tax returns also in time, normal penalty for late filing of return will follow, which is now maximum Rs. 20000/- and as far as TDS returns are concerned, will answer soon.

18-Jul-2011 , 11:14:23 amin case of tds return there is no compulsion for filling the return if there is no deduction in that quarter. but in case of service tax there is compulsory to filling service tax return also in case of nil return.
