Hi all,
I want to know whether it is required to deduct tds on payment made to Foreign embassy/High commissions in India regarding Sponsorship services. payment is to be made by Indian company. please reply with the reference of relevant section or circular/notification.

18-Dec-2018 , 05:18:48 pmHello, In response to your query,Foreign Embassy considered to be part of foreign government and Foreign Govt.is not taxable under I.T.act therefore in your case TDS liability will not arise.We tried to find out relevant circular for that conclusion but we didn't find anything specifically regarding that matter.
