What is applicable on customized software, vat or service tax. If I am software developer and I charge Rs 2 Lacs for a software, then what would be my tax liability? If I am developing this software for my foreign client, then what would be tax liability in this case?

Your Services fall under the performance based services as per place of provision of service rules 2012 and the place of provision shall be the location where services are actually performed.
