Q. > Please Help: Service Tax Belated Return Penalty
Dear Respected members, Please suggest me about the Service Tax Belated Return Penalty Rs. 20,000/- is this penalty applicable for the return period from 1.4.11 or return for which due date fall after 1.4.11 or all the belated return that will be filed after 1.4.11

It is for every belated return which is filed after 1st april 2011 no matter for whichever period it belongs to..i.e, any return of any previous period which is belated and filed after 1st april 2011 will face penalty of Rs. 20000/-
