Q. > Please Help: service tax on TDS and Interest there on due non-deposite.
Dear sir/madam, My organisation audited by service tax department they claim short deposit of service tax on TDS for the year 2007-08, We deposited the same along with Interest in March-12, How will show in current return, and in which head.

Dear Shailesh Ji, In the above case it should be shown as Arrear payment of service tax and which will not be considered as expense at the time of calculation of income tax liablity.

The same amount shall be shown as Arrear Payment of Service Tax.
