hello dear harish..
the taste of success can be realised by those better who face the failures... and i'll not suggest you to drop ca....coz even u know one more step and u'll be a CA.... but what u can do is join some company and appear for exams simultaneously,...this wil help you keep busy and wil help to reduce depression also...

After passing the CA, it possesses no value that you passed after so many attempts. You should not drop but continue to CA course and start to study smarter than harder.
refer to the story below:
CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY COURSE - NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS DOES NOT MATTER.THE VALUE OF A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT ALWAYS REMAINS THE SAME.

Well..whether u should leave CA or not...i think that depends on ur determination and importance of the words CA in ur life..If u cant imagine urself without the CA degree..then there is no harm in continuing it..but i think that u need a break to overcome depression and keep urself going..so as suggested above also..u can look out for a part time job or full time job..as would suit u , to keep urself busy and involved all the time..and this will increase gradually ur confidence also. As far as studying strategies are concerned, i think that u r d best judge of ur skills..so observe carefully ..that where r u lacking..sometimes its not only because of one thing that u r not able to clear the exams, but a cluster of so many things that are stopping u from being successful..so PLSS observe carefully and see where r u lacking...It might be bad presentation skills, or giving more time to less important things or u might be good at theory n not practicals or vice versa...so pls try to find out the area in which u r weak and try to concentrate on them. And pls try to prepare urself with 100% coverage of syllabus..so that u leave no room for any chance of not clearing the exams. Then I would suggest that u should really try answering past year papers ( suggested answers ) in the examination conditions at ur home. After writing the answers match them with the answers given in suggested answers..that will definitely help..In case of major variation between ur answer and suggested answer...see where lies the fault and correct it accordingly.
And Pls do remember that u have to maintain a positive attitude all the time. And as answered above here by someone..it really doesnt matter that in how many attempts u clear ur CA. U might not get a job in Big 4s initially but at the end only one thing matters and that is ur knowledge and performance. So dont get discouraged...just listen to inner voice ..n I wish u all the very best for ur exams. Hope to c u as a CA soon..:)
