Subject :- I want to know whether I will be permitted for appearing in May-13 CA Final Exam because I have a query regarding completion of my articleship.

Respected Sir,

I had joined my 1st articleship as on 15/10/2010 to 28/02/2011 which included 30 day leave and got transfer.But, the letter issued by ICAI specified that " The articled clerk has taken excess leave of 12 days upto 28/02/2011". Thereafter I joined articleship with another firm as on 03/03/2011.

Now I joined my 2nd articleship from 03/03/2011.(There is gap of 3 days between the transition period i.e, transfer from old firm to new firm).
Now I calculated my articleship period as follows:

End date of Articleship = 16/10/2013
Add: 12 Days of Excess Leave as imposed by ICAI = 12 Days
Add: 3 Days of gap between transfer from old firm to new = 3 Days
Date of Completion of Articleship = 31/10/2013

I request you to please enlighten me that whether I would be permitted by the Institute to appear in May-13 attempt. And whether the calculations done by me are correct, or whether I will have to add 30 days of my leave in place of 12 days. And whether any days are to be excluded or included.
