Q. > Please Help: Surrender of DVAT registration
A proprietor not conducted business since 3rd Qtr 2013-14 and not filling any return from 3rd Qtr 2013-14 till now. He filled a revise return Qtr-1 of 2013-14 on jan-15 and proprietor want to surrender his registration.
Please tell me the process of surrender of DVAT registration?

08-Jan-2015 , 05:58:23 pmForm 9 was required to be filled for surrender of registration within 30 days from the willing ness of dealer. But as you have not filled the returns, so this may attract penalty clause i.e. Rs 500 per day till failure under both act DVAT & CST, if any maximum Rs 50000 increased from 12.9.2013.
